Blog

This is my blog page. I find that sometimes the best way to get out what I'm thinking is writing it out. So here is what I'm thinking:

Here is my latest post:

So, sustainability. What is it and how can we become more knowledgeable as consumers?

So, sustainability. What is it and how can we become more knowledgeable as consumers? I find that looking for clothes that not only are cute and comfortable but can give back to the planet make the money all the more while. I mean who wouldn't want to help the earth by typing in your credit card info and receiving a cute pair of jeans in the process?

In my journey to become more sustainable, I wanted to look beyond the thrift shop experience. Thrift shopping is a great way to be sustainable but I wanted to find e-commerce and regular shops that were producing their own clothing in an environmentally ethical way.

I wanted to find companies that have a good cause backing up their mission statement. In my quest I found Boyish Jeans. Boyish Jeans were founded by Jordan Nodarse in Los Angeles California. The company is centered around utilizing ethical and sustainable production. Their jeans and denim ensembles are made through sustainable fabrics focused on making authentic washes, product quality, and fit up to great conditions and standards.

Next, the brand Reformation. Also based in L.A. the brand pushes environmentally conscious items that are beautiful and amazing pieces to add to your closet. On the more expensive side of clothing but if you are looking for something in their price ranges, it is a great site for it. Their summer dresses are elegant and are very unique with still having a simplistic touch. The brand takes a holistic standpoint in their production. They enable an environmental scope by taking into consideration the land use, eco-toxicity, human toxicity, and many more concepts to allow for the best fabric and quality for their customers. Using fabrics that are engaged in an eco-conscious outlook allows the brand to stand out in the vast fashion e-commerce space. I really recommend looking into this brand to know more about their reasoning and what not.

Lastly, finding jeans that fit my body like a glove are few and far between. Yet, the shop ABLE makes it all possible. They work creating edgy and fashion forward pants all the while ethically making their product. Their product comes in a wide array of sizes destined for you to find one pair that molds to your body.

Sustainable and ethical purchases are coming at the forefront of everyone's minds when they shop. Hopefully these three sites can help you find what you are looking for and make your jeans journey a little easier.
